These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of fintech-aegis.org (the “Site”) and the errand and delivery services provided by Roots Run LLC (“Roots Run,” “we,” “us”). By using the Site or our Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site or our Services. You must be at least 18 years old to book errands or apply as a runner.
Roots Run provides local errand and delivery services, including grocery and shopping runs, package pickup and drop-off, pharmacy runs, post office and shipping tasks, wait-in-line services, and similar errands within our service area. We use reasonable efforts to complete errands promptly but do not guarantee specific completion times.
When you book an errand, you authorize a Roots Run runner to act on your behalf for the specific task described. You are responsible for providing accurate addresses, instructions, and any authorizations (for example, pharmacy pickup requirements). We may decline or cancel any errand at our discretion, including where it is unsafe, unclear, or unlawful.
For errands that involve buying items on your behalf, you authorize us to purchase the requested items up to any limit you set, and you agree to reimburse the actual cost of those items in addition to our service fee. We provide receipts and, where practical, photo confirmation. Substitutions are made only with your approval where time allows.
Service fees start at the rates shown on the Site and may vary based on errand type, distance, time, and complexity. Applicable mileage and the cost of purchased items are billed in addition to the service fee, with your approval. Payment is processed securely through our third-party payment processors when the errand is complete. Subscription plans renew automatically until cancelled.
You may not request errands involving illegal items or activities, weapons, hazardous materials, controlled substances beyond lawfully dispensed prescriptions, alcohol or tobacco to minors, or anything that violates law or a third party's rights. You agree to treat runners with respect and not to use the Services to harass, defraud, or endanger anyone.
Runners are screened and may be engaged as independent contractors or employees as described in their agreement with us. If you apply to become a runner, you must meet our eligibility requirements, pass a background check, and comply with our runner policies. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership or joint venture between you and Roots Run.
You may cancel an errand before a runner has begun shopping or traveling at no charge. Once a runner has started, a partial fee may apply to cover work performed and any non-returnable purchases. If we fail to complete an errand due to our fault, we will refund the related service fee. Contact us promptly with any issue and we will work to make it right.
The Site and Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We perform errands with reasonable care and skill, but except as expressly stated we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of third-party goods or store policies.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roots Run LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a given errand will not exceed the greater of the service fee paid for that errand or $100, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Roots Run LLC and its members, employees, and runners from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Services, your instructions, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The state and federal courts located in Wisconsin will have exclusive jurisdiction, and you consent to that venue, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
